CAROLBRASS CUSTOM TRUMPET in BELMONT, New South Wales for sale

This is a one-of-a kind Carolbrass trumpet built with parts from mostly Carolbrass and other manufacturers.This was built by Doug Teeter, the US distributor of Carolbrass.The Bore size is .460,stainless steel valve block with the Blackhawk Black Nickel finger buttons and tops plus the 3 step bottom caps, Harrelson finger rings, 45/8"gold brass bell. heavy weight gold brass leader pipe. The back bow of the bell was formed into a shepherds crook design. When bending the bell the metal became quite thin so reinforcing pads were added to strengthen the metal , this also helps to project the sound as was used in some of the early cornets and trumpets. There were no splits in the metal under these pads. The instrument is in raw brass and has a unique, dark sound, great for jazz.A used Tuxedo Gig Bag is included.There are no dents or dings on this instument and no more of these will be made.
